the hubby & i used our last $1 (literally the last $1 we had to our name) to buy a scratch-off lottery ticket yesterday morning, & MIRACULOUSLY, WE WON $500. five hundred mother fucking big ones. i have never won anywhere NEAR that much money in all my life… carey & i are both still in shock. i mean, who wins five hundred dollars on a scratch-off lottery ticket?! seriously? is this real life? this is the type of thing that happens to other people — not us.
i mean, i know it’s not like we won fifty grand or anything, but we’re still super excited about it. carey & i have both been pretty depressed lately & in desperate need of cheering up, & nothing quite cures the mean reds like, y’know, WINNING THE FUCKING LOTTERY. we went out on the most magnificent date last night & bought a fabulous new ipod touch to share between the two of us. :)
i just realized that i basically referred to carey & i as one entity throughout most of this post, instead of two separate people. ha. carey & i are one entity, now, basically. that is what marriage does to you. one person completes the other. we were already joined-at-the-hip best friends before we got married, but now we may as well be siamese twins. MARRIAGE MOTHERFUCKER, DO YOU SPEAK IT.
so all in all, yesterday was a pretty damn wonderful day. i love my carey pickle more than life itself. the end.
annie clark (st. vincent) is easily one of the most beautiful women i’ve ever seen in my life. i have the biggest crush on her.
ain’t she a beauty, though? LORD A MERCY.
